We decided to drive to Daytona Beach and hang out on the beach. You pay $5 and can drive and park your car on the beach. We stayed maybe 15 minutes before we decided this wasn't a good idea. The winds were between 11 & 15 mph. Kinda of like a snow storm except with sand. We had sand everywhere and all inside the car. The temps were hovering in the low 60's so it made for a cold windy day. So we packed up everything and went to a beachside cafe for lunch and walked around to some of the shops. This coming weekend starts the Daytona Bike Week. Tents and awnings were being set up everywhere along with many many T-shirt stores. Outdoor bars all over the place. We thought we might go on saturday when the temp is suppose to be 79. Should be quite a circus with the motorcycle crowd. This is the biggest event of the year. Looks like a lot of loose women, live bands and lots and lots of booze will be consumed. Already bikes are starting to arrive. The campground we are staying at about 45 minutes away is booked solid starting this weekend thru all next week. We are staying here until Sunday and then will move on to Ft. Myers for at least a week. Yesterday there some guy riding his bike down the street decorated with all kinds of crazy stuff. He was standing us on his bike with a black cape and a skull mask holding a cycle ( like the grim reaper). I'll try and get some pictures on saturday of some of the outrageous bikes and people.
