Well we had quite a night last night here at the KOA Kennedy Space Center Campground. I was awakened at about 2:30am by someone yelling. I got up and went to the window and opened the blinds and looked out at flames shooting out of a camper parked about 5 down from us. I woke Tim up and we quickly got dressed and heard the fire trucks on their way. By the time we got out the door and down to the burning camper there were 2 fire trucks on the scene. The lady who lived there had been taken to the hospital by ambulance earlier in the day but no one seemed to know why. An older man knew she had a cat inside and was able to get the cat out before the camper became ingulfed in flames. We watched the fireman for awhile while talking to other campers. The next morning we walked down to camper and Tim took some pictures. There were 2 women there going thru the charred remains looking for anything they could save for the woman. As you can see the camper is toast. The staff tell us that the cause of the fire is still under investigation. On a better note we went to the beach today. What a perfect day 75 degrees with a nice breeze. Sat, walked and read on the beach for most of the day.

Well we're off to a mexican restaurant for a margarita and hopefully some good food.

More later,

Rae Jean
