Hello from Fort De Soto Park near St. Petersburg, FL. We arrived here yesterday and have a reservation thru Thursday. Not sure yet where we will be headed on Friday. We'll probably decide that on Thursday. Driving into St. Pete we came across the Sunshine Bridge (top 2 photos). What a site looks like you're driving right up to heaven. 3rd picture is our campsite right on the water (Tim saw dolphins swimming by this morning) and the 4th is me of course at sunset. After we arrived at the park we headed for North Beach here at the park. Beautiful deep white sandy beach. Voted #1 in 2005. I didn't have my camera along to take pictures. Yesterday was hot, sunny and a bit humid. Today is overcast and cool. High of 78 today. Tim went on a long bike ride. There are many bike trails here. On Sunday evening before we left Pine Island we met a handful of other people at the clubhouse to see the space shuttle Discovery take off at dusk. We saw it live NOT on TV. We were able to see it from where we were. Awesome sight!!! Best wishes to everyone and will see you in a couple of weeks if not sooner. Rae Jean
