Wild Horses on Pine Island
We spotted these wild horses roaming on Pine Island yesterday. It seems the locals like to paint them after drinking all night. They also paint telephone poles. I'll try to get a picture or two.
We went to Ft. Myers Beach yesterday and looked up our accountant, Darryl Wolff's place there, then went out to the beach. The beach is nice, but very commercialized. We also went over to Sanibel Island. We were very disappointed there. It cost $6 to cross the bridge to the island, then had to hunt to find a public beach, where they wanted $2 per hour to park. Traffic on the main island road was stop and go. It looked like most people road bikes there. We won't go back.
We're going shopping for seafood this AM. We've seen giant shrimp, but need to learn how to behead them and alternative ways for cooking them. We've also developed a taste for giant sea scallops. They are so sweet when sauted. Yum.
One of the nicer things we've found about this particular KOA is that their WIFI is fast. Preveious KOAs had WIFI, but it was terrible slow. Also, they have a heated (90 deg) swimming pool and even hotter hot tub.
