Friday the 13th we boarded Bruce & Lori Knepp's (friends of Greg Blue) boat the "Stiletto" and headed to The Salt Rock Grille in St. Petersburg for dinner. Top photo is Will & Joanne Stainton (Greg's daughter in Tampa), Rae, Greg & Tim. 2nd photo is Bruce & Lori (fabulous hosts) at the wheel and 3rd photo is their boat. We had an outstanding dinner and then headed back after dark. It was about a 45 minute boat ride. Going over to the restaurant we were treated to a couple dolphins swimming by us. Tim & I spent the night at a hotel near the marina and spent saturday exploring the beach at St. Pete and then drove back to Pine Island late afternoon. We will be here until Monday the 16th and then are moving on to Ft. De Soto state park in St Petersburg
http://www.pinellascounty.org/park/05_Ft_Desoto.htm where we have a reservation for 1 night. We hope to stay in the area for a couple days before we SLOWLY start heading back north. We're trying to absorb as much sunshine and 80 degree weather as we can before getting home.

Glad you all had such a great trip! Sorry you have to come home, but not to worry, the weather here today was in the 60's. It's not exactly beach weather, but I didn't need to wear a jacket outside today...nice for the St. Pat's parade. Let's all do something when you return.

Hadn't checked the blog in a while. WOW! What a trip! Glad you've had decent weather and a great time. The Daytona Bikeweek sure looked interesting. Suprised you didn't have one loaded in your trailer. Let us know if/when you might be coming north thru Cincy area. Would enjoy spending an evening with you.
